My best guess why is that the pictures in the calendar are simple and homey, funny but in a serious way. I have to have one. There's something about these cow calendars. Every year since then, we've looked for a new one. If the calendars don't show them as in stock and shipping soon, I'll order one directly from Lang. Every year, without fail. But I do.
This year I checked for the cow calendar on Amazon, only to find that they are out of stock. That gives the paintings just a touch of whimsy, and they warm the heart in a subtle way.
But for some reason, we keep looking until we find our cow calendar. But the cows have an pleasantly odd shape, and the pose is always a little unusual.
We bought one about eight years ago at a craft store in Utah. You won't laugh at these paintings of cows in different poses, reflecting the months they appear in.
Odd as it is, for me a calendar just won't do unless it has cows. They are hard to find.
I can't figure out why I love these cow calendars.
